A Fairy Tale Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

A Fairy Tale

Angels in purple lace
gathered purple flowers in
fancy bouquets to present
at his grand coming...
In the distance was the sound
his magic guitar made and his voice
soft and tender singing a lullaby
that rocked a cradle filled with love...
Then he said good-bye.
Everyone screamed his name, PRINCE!
He laughed, never looked back, dancing,
on the road to paradise.
