A Different Kind Of Madness Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

A Different Kind Of Madness

On a fine kind of day,
This thought came to mind,
I am going to ware this day
Like it is a silk coat, alive with color,
Green, purple with see through
Pink sleeves, looking like spring and
Fitting me to perfection.

A weightless day, with no troubles,
Filled with fluffy clouds wearing angel
Wings and a crown made from daffodils.
A concert by crows as they caw, caw, an
All day song, will keep my mood mellow.
My feet will go dancing, my body swirling through
Imagined thrills starting at the top of hills.
I shall ride on roller coasters that touch the sky with no
Exit for sad good-byes.

I shall go mad in heavenly delight as I sing praises
To the creator's might for all the good things done and
Promised to come.
Yes a silky, crazy, happy kind of day!
Let's all say,
Amen!
