A Face So Familiar Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

A Face So Familiar

Rating: 4.7

A face so familiar
So close and dear
A voice so common
Missed on many an occasion
Now upon pushing decades in rear
Rings at last in my ear
Asking me to guess
It's whose voice
Though somewhat broken and old
It sounded
Yet wonderful it was
For its sweetness
And though I fumbled at
Till the name was spelt out
I thought were it you my dear brethren
My tears would stop and memories waken

A love that is true, pure and deep will never cease. Distance and absence will never sever the bond whose love is imprinted in the heart and mind. A beautiful poem on love and life that holds us spellboud. So tenderly conveyed and beautifully crafted. Onto my Poem List.
