A Confidant Poem by Shemsi Elsani

A Confidant

Virtuality, real-like experiences
Building up a relationship between two souls, and many more
Closer than it'd be in real world
Sharing everything,
To the deepest of secrets
To the darkest of the evils
To the sickest of the sins
To the crookest of the
relationships
To the wickedest of pleasures
To the loveliest of the loves

Trying hard to be attached
By the invisible piece of strings
Bonding by the intimacy beyond doubt
Make believe, like a faithful nun
Holding to everything but nothing
Empty and senseless
Yet convincing, beyond belief

Dragging the life out, for some
Lifting up spirits, to the highest of points, for others
Squeezing out every threads of emotions, for many
And keeping the dreams as real, for few
Every single days, as long time is running
Chasing own tail, subconsciously
Hoping for the best of confidants, deceitfully
