A Blind Heart Poem by Dylan Gaudreault

A Blind Heart

Although my heart has lost its eyes
it still searches for you even being blind
all night it tries and it tries
searching for you at my side
recalling where you had slept
falling for you when we first met
an every dream that I've dreamt
makes it hard for him to forget
that you were apart of my life
had hopes of you becoming my wife
remembering how nice it was
never having to think twice
knowing that we are in love
i was hoping that would suffice
now without you my love
my heart has lost his sight
he tries with all his might
stumbling through the night
struggling to hold you tight
he cannot see that you're gone
the memories fools him wrong
keeps him from moving on
needs to realize its been to long
but he'll only believes what he's seen
and that was the girl in love with me
