Art Of The Ages Poem by Dylan Gaudreault

Art Of The Ages

My oh my,
Did an angel fall from the sky?
Did God, or Gods, whatever may have you,
Place a ravishing sculpture to acquaint my eye?

A surge of admiration
Opposite of a vulture

Aesthetics of beautiful ideation
Birthed from artists of every culture

Delicate like a rose
But composed,
Like the ancient Greeks
With unique
Contraposto

Leonardo Da Vinci
Would have cringed with envy
To await this art for mere centuries

Beyond every cliché fathomable
Beauty like this, is only imaginable

I've searched for imperfection
Though I confess
I get lost in her complexion
I can only profess
The labor of her conception

Delicately painted on a canvas
Chiseled out of marble
Gorgeous, and outlandish
One could only marvel

Does Beauty like this,
Truly exist?
A being on exhibit
Like carved hieroglyphics
depicts the explicit
Completely realistic

Birthed on our Earth
Woven in Flesh
An Aphrodite
The world must be blessed
