28th Feb Poem by Farbe Bar

28th Feb

Rating: 5.0

I know he had more days left in his life
But on 28th feb, I fought with my sis
And I went home alone from the hospital
To daddy, to seize the tears and get a kiss.

Dad told, I could have been kidnapped
I could have been sold to someone
Those days he said, that crime was picking its speed
And then picked board out, all of a sudden.

We played carrom together
I won the first set
No doubt, rest were his.
Now regarding punishment I had no threat.

Before completing the game
Mom and sis came back
Maybe dad got angry on them.
After dinner, we had melatonin attack.

Then we all slept and dad with those tensions
Next day he woke up, got paralysis in left brain
Mom woke me, he was lying on bed
Calling my name again and again

He first suffered paralysis
And then shortly after that, he quit
Maybe he saw a nightmare regarding me
And his body just couldn't tolerate it.

A sad and unfortunate story, Farbe. You told it with a factual style but I think you could have gone deeper into the feelings you had. Thanks for sharing and keep writing

Amen to what Kelly Kurt said. Always listen to Kelly. He's the expert on this site. Anything that happened was not your fault. Don't blame yourself.

A lovely poem expressing feelings that we all have experienced at a time of loss. Yet, I admit we do not all come to grips with our feelings as well. Well done. Read mine – Cicatrix – Adeline
