~2 Ears & 1 Mouth~ Poem by E Nigma

~2 Ears & 1 Mouth~

Rating: 4.3

Sure, communication to connect is key
But is there really any reason I want to hear me?
Maybe I'm in love with the sound of my own vanity
Perhaps I just don't want to hear your rambling

Echoing nonsense like a thousand daggers
Piercing my mind with constant clatter
Shattering my concentration to pieces
When all I really want Is peace an freedom

Sparing myself from your useless rhetoric
The reality is you're simply irrelevant
Your pseudo-intellectual infectious
Pretentiousness' a self absorbed sponge

Testing my tolerance, bending my patience
How else can I say that you're just tasteless?
So I'll serve you a dish that your soon to
Regret, my assurance to you, it's all for the best

First step starts with shutting the front door
If you caught that quip your arms probably sore
Secondly, pay attention to the quiet collective
Body language is important, notice they're all snoring?

Someone obviously pxxd you off big time I hope it wasn't me.I love the title my grandmother always told me there is a reason god gave us two ears and one mouth we are supposed to do more listening than talking. Great poem well done

Oh my.....! What a harsh tirade on those whose rhetoric rattles and breaks your concentration! Your contempt for the pretentious pseudo intellectuals is evident here though you say it is humour....! Yes, it is biting humour which is sharper and more pointed than any rapier! Enjoyed!

Wow I never want to get on your bad side, the pen is mightier than the sword, in this case yours is a serrated knife of barbed rhythms Your pseudo-intellectual infectious Pretentiousness' a self absorbed sponge I think someone once said that about me, might have been my mom. It really is about listening to what the other person is saying, and well both ears (and eyes) are brought to attention. Great Disses.

Yes I also fully agree that the humbug has to be shown the door at last to stop listening the rubbish more..... Thank you.

Two ears and one mouth for a reason. Less of a talker and more of a listener. Good reasonings.
