121110d Careful Steps

sweet melody within my ear
making me sleepy it's unfair
i'm in open no place to drowse
besides yawn to passing clouds
i pinch my cheek and no effect
it pains; subsides in a minute

i try to walk it off; that's better
especially i'm mumbling in rhyme
nobody could hear; alone i am
i stop when i saw falling pine cone
they're large still wet from storm
i thought about you still in cocoon
