1000 Stars Poem by Jessica Lowe

1000 Stars

There are 1000 stars that shine through my night,
But not one of them shine quite as bright,
As you…

I know that it hurts to see her with him
I know how it makes your blood boil to the very rim
I know how you think that it just isn’t fair;
How she could break you heart and not even care

I’m not trying to say what your feeling is wrong
I just know that you are strong
Strong enough to know you’ll survive
Strong enough to try and revive,

Those shattered pieces of your broken heart
Those tattered pieces that were torn apart,
That were ripped to shreds and left to die
Poor soul,
Poor guy.

Please don’t be wary
And find this poem scary
I was only thinking of you
I hate seeing you sad
And it makes me so mad
To know what she did to you
Cause remember it happened to me too.

I know you love her
I know it’s true
And at one point she loved you too
But that’s all said and done
It wasn’t fair of her to run
And leave you a tattered mess on the floor.

But you my friend, my dear.
Shine brighter than any star in my night sky
You deserve more than anyone could afford
You deserve someone so much more
Someone who truly cares and would hold you tight,
And I’ll sit here
Watching you walk away shining bright 3
