Keep Me Safe; 3 Poem by Jessica Lowe

Keep Me Safe; 3

My body yearns for the comforts of his bed
A place that's safe
To rest my head
The warmth it beacons me in form the cold
Where sheets they cover me
With arms that hold
The heat of his skin, radiates through me now
My purpose in life
I've found you, how?
How did you stumble your way into my life?
And cleared away
The clouds of strife
I feel your lips against my cheek
And I feel me drift
As you speak
I feel so safe lying in your arms
Tallest towers above me
Shutting out what harms
Breathing in time with your long soft breaths
Feeling so warm
As if you never had left.
