060610d Uplifted By Laurels

i see sparkle on their faces
when called for appreciation
meeting of the hands roared
as praises of many were told
echoes from walls reverberate
seem to massage me in depth

my palms turn red applauding
so many came; very deserving
so do i; i'm included; i'm please
they give necktie but i prefer blue
prompted teasing from the crowd
i bow my head; said thanks loud
