051011b Give Us Break
bridge rising to let boats pass
stop traffic, constant red flash
an ambulance is stuck for hour
didn't stop flashing, can't cross
narrow one lane between girders
trap for unsuspecting commuter
relief; construction is underway
taller and wider bridge; great
until they'll tag few bucks gate
another gimmick to make money
we poor are being squeeze
can we survive with sandwich
