031310 Wait For Me Honey Poem by Manonton Dalan

031310 Wait For Me Honey

i wipe off salty drips from my eyes
looking back where i first i step on
i see a giant umbrella with all those
well dress, maybe going to picnic
i inch my way trying to be stealthy
i keep my head straight, eyes fixed

i'm welcome with dry towel and food
steaming rice, noodles, fish to boot
lumpia, barbecue beef, pork, chicken
it's not jenny's camp, eat all you want
we have music too, karaoke that's thing
after you done eating you have to sing

i love to watch those lover's glimpse
so simple they hide for quick, a bleep
big brown eyes, a whirpoolish sea
get hold of you and you can't get away
you'll be dreaming about then cudlykissy
next summer it would be 'wait for me honey'
