The functionality & dysfunctionality of ductal parts sail altruistic
beyond the rustic & hysteric, the kinetic & liberally-prized mystic
as the marrow of Man is destroyed by alchemic clinicians futuristic
claims of squatters' rights are by new victors who write the fiction
Old lands of olden worlds quake beneath a lash of faux jurisdiction
True-to-form: 1 addict's mystical journey is mapped glum depiction
Gravitation works ass-end rearward given magnetism's predilection
Crimes like mutilation, arson & baby-killing precede introspection
Nationally, ordained by color of law, murder escapes investigation
It's me growing up in a hurry like every asshole ever named Murray
God's in the gravel & the travel & the bounty of those who unravel

Poet's Notes about The Poem

☹ 'There will be no peace in Europe, if the states are reconstituted on the basis of national sovereignty... The countries of Europe are too small to guarantee their peoples the necessary prosperity and social development. The European states must constitute themselves into a federation...' — Jean Monnet (author of plan that proposed giving France control over German coal and steel)

Poem of the Day

poet Sir Walter Scott

The moon's on the lake, and the mist's on the brae,
And the Clan has a name that is nameless by day;
Then gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
Gather, gather, gather Grigalach!
