Morning Poem by seeme now

Morning

Rating: 5.0

Early sun leaving the water
Lights the leaves of the old oaks
Makes the branches glow
Above the lazy sleepers

Eyes half closed hiding
The lingering smile of the night
Soft and warm side by side
Limbs still intertwined

The summer haze calling
They go to the house
The scent of the green in the hair
The shorts and the dress left behind

The light colored walls
Are concealing
As they dance into the day
Tasting still lime juice and gin
