Piolo Jan Lugo Poems

You gave me sunflower,
The next day a rose.
The strength and the power,
Glad we’re not foes.
...

Beneath the flying stars
My seven sorrowed heart
was rolling dice with destiny
We played the game of feet –
...

Tick, tock, tick, tock,
The time strikes the modern clock.
As I stole a glance at my watch,
The heavens will fall and I couldn’t have a catch.
...

“Hi”, you nod me a word
And a glimpse of you
Already came aboard.
You give me no clue.
...

I doubt I could have one,
I am no good at this.
My words aren't blue but tan,
When will you be a part of my piece?
...

A little girl’s game,
For others, a dream.
This might lead to fame,
When such has beam.
...

As my soul rises with you,
Body of mine pulls me down and whisper,
“C’mmon! He’s not true.”
Diminishing all my fears in a prayer.
...

I was bored that time,
When a blast of idea comes in my mind.
A weird thing that sounds like a chime,
Oh! A fishing rod I should find.

Today, I'Ll Die

You gave me sunflower,
The next day a rose.
The strength and the power,
Glad we’re not foes.

The crown and the glory,
Winners will not win.
For it to be Holy,
One must gave a fin.

A ghost on forever,
An angel for a second.
You leaves me never,
Though this is not almond.

Is it irreplaceable?
I guess indeed.
‘Cause we’re comfortable,
In uttering Apostle’s Creed.

Inch by inch,
I am in heaven.
‘Till I experience lynch,
Hope I am not forgotten.

I already see who I am,
For my eye is your eye.
And tomorrow may not come,
‘Cause today, I’ll die.
