Kirstin Barnes Poems

She's looking through a window,
Stairing at a sky.
Her heart is slowly breaking,
She cannot help but cry.

2.

I found you one sunny morning,
Curled up on the bed.
Your feet and hands were freezing,
But warmth still in your head.
...

Cold, lonley nights,
When silence drifts by.
The truth that kills strangers,
With a sad, empty cry.
...

Is there life outside this box?
The whole that love forgot.
Or is a dream too far away,
You had to let it rot?
...

A love that they felt,
So deep and true.
The bond that they shared,
Lies she didn't see through.
...

A golden heat,
On a summers day,
A shimmering in the sky.
...

It hurts when you are lonely,
It hurts to hear you cry.
It hurts when things are going wrong,
It hurts to say goodbye.
...

Gran your eyes, they were so bright,
They shone with love and praise.
You stared down on me and passed it on,
I'll never forget your gaze.
...

Can't you tell the way she feels?
You hear it in her cries.
You see it through her heartache,
She sees it through his lies.
...

Hearing the truth,
And feeling the pain.
Hiding in the shadows,
And watching the rain.
...

How does it feel when the snows at your door?
You're ghostly, you're sad, you can't take it anymore.

How does it feel when life pulls you down?
...

A sparkle in her heart,
The smile she hides inside,
The look in his eyes,
And the sound of their voices.

Kirstin Barnes Biography

Not alot to say here just that my poems come from the heart and are mostly about loss of love or just sadness. Not because I'm a sad person but simply because I write poetry when I am sad. Alot of the feelings come from losing mt grandad when I was seven and just last year losing my gran, they have both been very sad times for me but I find that writing poetry helps alot. I'm a typical teenager. Love to go out with friends and school is ok I guess, anyway thanks for all the comments they're always welcome.)

No-One Seemed To Care

She's looking through a window,
Stairing at a sky.
Her heart is slowly breaking,
She cannot help but cry.

She's thinking 'bout the good times,
The times they used to share.
The tears are running down her cheeks,
And no-one seems to care.

Her soul is full of hatred,
Her body's feeling sad.
And she's thinking all about,
The life he should've had.

She's screaming on her knees now,
Upon the hard, cold floor,
And nobody will help her,
She can't do it anymore.

She staggers to the kitchen,
And quickly picks up the knife.
The blade is on her skin,
She's taking her own life.

A pool of her own blood,
A bucket full of tears.
A pulse that has stopped beating,
A heart that's full of fears.

But nobody would help her,
They left her there to cry.
And nobody seemed to care,
So they left her there to die.
