Darkness shares no light
For me- only splinters
From dirt and leaves they sow
My dwelling- of cellar smells

Deep is this wooded maze
Where deep within
The pack was made
Lore not spoken, not spoken
...

It was just a day, but a day, like any other day
That was until I heard him say, “It’s time to come with me”
Though my thoughts told me differently, I did not hesitate to agree
As if in a sleep I began to wander
...

I’ve come back to the pass
The place that rots me to the core
I’ve come back to the pass
As I’ve done many time before
...

Like a rain forest inside of me
Foliage covers my heart
Too dense for most to see
My roots they span a thousand lives
...

Somewhere in the world
The sun and moon are courting
They Dance
They Sing
...

And comes the chilly air of night
Where the dark and dreary play
The blood soaked canine teeth,
Are attaching to their prey
...

Happens as the leaves turn red
Albeit a horrific delight
Leading lost souls to finally bid adieu
Lanterns keep the streets lit bright
...

Time, flowing by and by
With sweat from the brow
And aging of the vine
As time passes by feverishly
...
