These walls I built so long ago
So high that I can no longer see
Caged is the only way
This heart of mine can ever be free

It started with an ember
That grew into a coal
And with a breath of wind
A flame consumed my soul

His eyes are like coals
What once was flames has faded
The love that consumed us
Through the darkness it illuminated
...

I smile only because
If I didn't I'd frown

I laugh only because
If I didn't i'd cry
...

Day by day I fade away
Until ther's nothing left to see
One day you will come looking
And there'll be nothing left of me
...

I never realized how alone I was
How cold and bleak and empty I felt
I thought 'This is life
This is the hand I've been dealt'
