It's like you're playing me in rewind, I'm starting to untwine
The waters that I'm treading in are oh so unfamiliar here
You're breaking the ice around this shell, that’s sentenced me to hell
The barriers that I've put up to keep me from falling in

You told me all your lies
And I believed them
I let them pile up one by one
Until they pushed me away
...

There I sat to talk about days Long gone
My words just went on and on
But as the night crept nearer
My head grew much less clearer
...

Every day I consider my life
And my enmity grows for it with strife
Some people say I'm heartless
But others see they're wrong
...

As I look at me I can see
Softly, Gently I am dying
Little is left for me now
That has not yet been defaced with pain
...

I’m taking in a new breath
And I’m finding it so hard
The ideas inside my head
Are tearing me apart
