As God was looking at the souls of the babies about to be born
His eyes rested on me
He knew that this soul would need a lot of care & love
He searched the world & found the perfect family
...

As I lay here watching the stars
My mind wonders to days a far
To the days when life was simple
To the childhood thoughts & games
...

Did you know Christmas is almost here
Can you feel the crispness in the air
The hustle & bustle all through the town
All the little kids jumping up & down
...

As I walk down the curving road
A butterfly floats into my path
While I walk it stays just in front of me
Never swaying from the curving way

God's Gifts

As God was looking at the souls of the babies about to be born
His eyes rested on me
He knew that this soul would need a lot of care & love
He searched the world & found the perfect family
He knew with this family she would receive what she would need
The family had the older sister that she would look up to
The older sister that would protect her
After a few years God decided that this soul would need more then what he had provided
So he sent her a little sister that was wise & would be able to help the older sister take care of this middle sister
And for God's gifts of these two sisters I will always be thankful
