Astrid Nightwalker Poems
I sit in the dark Writing my story all over my body. Every inch covered in ink, Red as rubies.
Dark and Remembered
Marks and scars, Colors and tears, Covered my body for many years. I drained every possible drop of blood,
Hold me while I cry
Hold me in your arms While my rivers flow. Teach me to hold it in While everything falls around me.
I died many times, Before remembering who I am. You died twice, Before knowing what to do.
My heart belongs to everyone but me, That's why I'm so scarred. Even the people who don't want love receive mine. I hand them my heart and say 'here it's yours.'

I sit in the dark
Writing my story all over my body.
Every inch covered in ink,
Red as rubies.
Tears of regret and pain.
No one understands the demons inside,
which never leave me alone at night.
I scratch and bleed while I run away
Trying to escape from my demon side.
No matter where I go my shadows follow.
All I ask is to be left alone,
To read the stories my body holds.
