Anita Jonker Poems
The phone rings who is it Nobody the door swings open… Nobody
Blazing gowns glow and stare Underwater desperate for air Rage and set your thoughts on fire Nectar drips and evokes desire
Life is painted black and red smiling strangers eyes are dead. Broken bottles empty hands
Childish notes dances with the wind while rustling roses bobble their heads. Birds cheery songs dresses the day howling wolf's cloak the night.
Menu Of Life
A bowl of life What do you want do drink? Menu: A cup of sleep
My heart has been: Beaten
Despair is caught in a whiff Right and wrong hides no meaning Uncoil your grip from me, dear snake Gamble your life away with one more try
Suicide An empty swing A lonely shadow An empty heart
Yearn for Years Obsessed till age is Old Undefined love with hope United
I look but I don't see I listen but I don't hear what is it I fear?
X marks the spot
You gave me a map. You told me I was your treasure and x marks the spot.
The music takes her over Her body a slave obeying each command The beat demand.
Shadows tickle word slither Oxygen stops soul shivers Icy hands crawls up my back
Trick or Treat?
Trick or treat love or hate? A demons lie an angels fate Dare me now to kill a dream stab the rose to blow off steam.

The phone rings who is it
the door swings open…
an owl hoots in the night
I receive a letter
I receive a request
I receive a tip
