i'm alone now says

between us now even
for just this moment because

her heart knows it's a lie.

Don'T Follow Me, Moon

don't follow me moon
me, i'm going down a dark path
and you, you're just shedding
extra light

just stay frozen in the car
window, like a shifting picture frame
disappear in reverse
don't bet on playing catch-up

don't follow me moon
me, i'm headed the wrong way
and you, you've got a contract
with the world

just keep your distance
you and the man
always coming and going,
wasting, waxing and waning mr. moon

don't follow me moon
me, i'm travelling many miles
and you, you've got a strictly limited
time frame.

learned to welcome morning
i'm not waiting for someone as cold and distant
as you, moon
turn time backwards and go the other way
