Two vast bodies churn like mad
Blocking the sun

into your bones
your dark corners
but you're not prepared for that

Thousands of black leaves in the trees
When there should be none.

Leaves immune to the cold winter wind,
Leaves with tiny yellow eyes.

dreams of long ago

plough the field
