Victoria Stamps Poems

Green and gold
From the sun they glow
Sign of the seasons
Pass so slow
...

Elegiac thoughts
A photo found
A soul long lost
Crushed to the ground
...

Atop the hill
Conkers abound
Smooth, sharp, prickly
Nature, profound
...

Down by the river
Minded of mine
Far from the hills
Sweet waters of Tyne
...

Braird emotions
Growing high
Decision leaf
Life’s breeze sends awry
...

Moment so calm
Absence of strife
Birds sing and call
To a song of life
...

Storm clouds part
With simple guile
Tyche turned her head
And slowly smiled.
...

Remind me of
a smile so sweet
joie de vivre
crazy eats
...

The song of regret
Sings sweetly at night
Lament ridden notes
Intensity bright
...

Substrate of torment
Ripples the mind
Succubus toying
Torture defined
...

Rammed in a train
Fisticuffs blind
Tears of frustration
Commuting mind.
...

Calm permutations
Considered, unsaid
Thought conflagration
Deimos fed
...

Vestibule dreams
To worlds within
...

14.

Rivers of people
Pool to a lake
Jostling as salmon
Instinct takes
...

Twist and turn
Through the night
Dreams that burn
With torment bright
...

As fingers waltz
On a field of cream
Memories grow
For perfect dreams
...

The things you think
The acts you do
A simple kindness
That helps you through
...

Moments
Memories
Swarm in the night
Dancing
...

Pensive mood
Of quiet lament
Boxing the memories
Of that which went
...

Tiny perfection
Scampering around
Searching for food
Thrown to the ground
...

Victoria Stamps Biography

Relatively late to poetry with most of my work being published to fit inside a single 'tweet' (140 characters) and hence very compact. All my poems were originally posted on my own site (poetry.sparkyland.net) as well as Twitter when possible! I've written several hundred short pieces, it may take a while to bring them over to this site. So far nearly all of September 2011 has been brought here, a few were excluded as they were really personal messages in poem form. Maybe one day I'll finish moving the rest...)

The Best Poem Of Victoria Stamps

September Morn

Green and gold
From the sun they glow
Sign of the seasons
Pass so slow
Symbol of life
My September morn
A soul that survives
However torn
