Slowly, Slowly As Rising Smoke

His heart was raised to anger;
He found himself blinded through and through
By darkness and light together.

Surely, surely wisdom saw
That he gave an ear no more;
Ah! Straight to the belly of the beast he went
To engrave his anger for evermore.

Revenge, revenge by blood beseeched him
Deep down at his very core;
The humbled sight of his enemy disgusted him,
Dishonorably begging on the floor;

'Stand! Stand up i say!
Just whom do you think to disgrace! ?
Be fast on a vengeful foray
(Coward!) Or I'll set fire to your face! '
