Saul Palti Poems

I once was in love with a gypsy
she lived in a caravan
and travelled the isles of great England
she was full of tricks and was happy
...

There a letter coming through my door
signed by the highest esteem
I sit and wait by the post box eager and clean
the first of many and many more
...

Your helping me be what I want to be
for healthy as ever what can free freedom
eating for the tree is very easy
set in steel set in stone leave me Adam
...

Red and white will turn to blue
all throughout foreign land
beat to dust after refusing the hand
all for something old and new
...

Il write you this letter addressed to you
with two distant shadows that are true
each on one shoulder holding my hand
covering the sea with pale white sand
...

Iv been gambling at casinos
in old jerico
putting my dimes down
a dark damp hole
...

off to prison you go
with a bag in one hand
reaping what you sow
murder was the case
...

There was once a blatant liar
formed of silk and rubber
passing messages from one to another
he said if you dont love me
...

You sit in a room by yourself
waiting for love to come through the door
to take you off of the shelf
quenching you from this bore
...

I guess this is good bye
there's no use in turning
on your lonesome side
I know its me your yearning
...

The awful place called theamsmead
where the walls are concrete
and long grass for a seat
someday the villagers will be freed
...

like a ghost on water
boy I can not fault her
a ringing in the ear
I know she is near
...

Iv been traveling your world
trailing your dusty road
picking flowers to be sold
making love to a toad
...

He walked in with a grin
as wide as the ginger cat
far from the hidden bin
by himself is where he sat
...

Tulips grow on a field
next to a burning body
you say good bye to me
I dont know how youll wield
...

In the frost laden night
despair and treachery
rain forth upon my shoulders
you know what I mean
...

17.

Where everybody goes
where the music flows
to hang upside down
with the red haired clown
...

Iv been feeling blue
not knowing what to do
I travelled to Rome
just to stop feeling alone
...

It was a night to remember under the stars
a bright beholder that shun through the night
flickering lights, to quick to see from fast cars
we flew into the sky taken away by flight
...

I got a real bad feeling down in my gut
that the trouble has only just begun
I feel as though my history is about to get me hung
its as if iv been divorced by lady luck
...

The Best Poem Of Saul Palti

Gypsy Girl

I once was in love with a gypsy
she lived in a caravan
and travelled the isles of great England
she was full of tricks and was happy

all the troubles went away
for she said she would always stay
as she talked in her sleep
and her heart would pound so deep

much of this was false
for she was a gypsy
and would forever talk
as I would often get her tipsy
