On a mossy stony wall
At the peaceful time of fall
A lovely butterfly there did sit
With many men trying to capture it

you who are both villain and fiend
Who eats at the soul of me
you push me to the darkness not wanting to be seen
I plead that i will never again see thee
...

leave me Satan's shadow
hounds that rip apart my skin
I can not stand to see
my light fade so dim
...

Why must the warriors of old be fearless
For it takes more courage to walk to the battle scared
...

on a branch i once did see
like the mud that lay below
a little brown bird before me
It sat lonely in a state of sorrow
...

Of all the wicked angels that I do love
You superciliously rise above
you do not shine more then the afternoon sun
or a moon lit by the darkness of night
...

When I journey into the blackness of night
I will not fear the unknown that lies beyond
For it does not matter what is the sight
That will meet my unshaken bonds
...
