Depression Poem by The Anonymous Writer

Depression

you who are both villain and fiend
Who eats at the soul of me
you push me to the darkness not wanting to be seen
I plead that i will never again see thee

you are a clever foe
That can tear at me from within
Who comes and goes like a winters snow
Seemingly i can not win

But i also have a power from within
A will to vanquish thee from my heart
To wash away the darkness outside and in
to retain my soul in single part
to never lay in fear of the devils sin
