Sunil Shandilya Poems

1.

One sleepless night, squandering in my bed,
Flashing the torch, out of my blanket's net
The gleaming white, despersing in my eyes.
Through rustling of pines,
...

Dark, brown, hazel
Thy hairs, I'm keen to sense
For my eyes narrate, ardur's resemblance, a peach
But my soul, finds her to be aquamarine.
...

The molten red, casting a bronze spell
eyes savouring the phenomenon,
I, standing besides myself, detached.
"We need shackles", I said to the ghost.
...

There's a spirit behind the window
Agile, bewildered and restless
Directionless it moves, vague and senseless
It's made of all hues and shades
...

A certain awe, of greens,
of all its shades and hues
Henna being poured mother,
all the reds, crimson, brown, Losing its colour.
...

Blue seeping through veins,
Of not flesh, of not mobile
Of earth, of yearning of soil.
Of green hairs, that sow every fall.
...

The dusk, crimson
My solitude, in unison,
Momentary, twilight
The grounds, glimmer
...

Gold suffusing into lapis lazuli
A costermonger, offering cotton candy
feast as you please, they are, free.
"Am here and still, in front of thee."
...

Frost from that distant snow
Breezing into my nares and brows
Blue, cold, lifeless and consuming
My brother, sneezing without a flinch.
...

Night

One sleepless night, squandering in my bed,
Flashing the torch, out of my blanket's net
The gleaming white, despersing in my eyes.
Through rustling of pines,
Crickets and the whip-poor-will,
The light, sieving to my ghost.
He's standing beside my, sweet desolation,
Gazing the moon, in the streamlet,
Thinking, how we ended up here?
