Hollywood Ending Poem by Alejandro Torres

Hollywood Ending

Angels dance on the head of a pin
And I give birth to constellations
When I put pen to paper
Lay out letters that spell words
A trail for you to follow
Back to me

We dare the sea
And I stand to part it
Like your knees
When we dance
Cause I came back up
To your Heavenly thrown
For that closeness

Let it be born of something true
I’m tired of being incomplete
And I hope you feel the same too
I hung on a wire
To see you climb a wave
From your sea shell
This is a melody
The cosmic orchestra always in tune
Background music
with a screenshot of us

Hollywood would be so jealous
If they only knew
How true
Our script is
Millennia’s went into its making
And legends with their myths
Let out at casting
But here it is at our fingertips

The Lover’s Guide
To the Galaxy She Hides
The big screen would fall apart
Because there isn’t a window big enough
For the grandeur
Of emotional contexts
I have for you

So on this highway of love
Lets take Route 95 and drive off
Into the sunset
