Dream Time Poem by Lonnie Hicks

Dream Time

Rating: 2.7

I'll not take a single kiss from you
for that is too few
I'll not go silent
for words are one way
of loving you.

I'll not stray far from your arms
for they feel bereft without you
swaying in them.
I'll lift you
to these lips
and feel you slide
down my body
exhaling.

I turn you
like a star rotating
for you have
a similar light.

If love comes with
joy attached
mine sings soul songs
And you
harpist of my deep stirrings
play for me
sweet songs
that only
we two
lovers
know.

And we
melt in the melting
dissolve in the dissolving
re-emerging
from Emotions Arms
sated
and beyond
yet
even these words
do not describe
the all there is
in the dream time
we share
