Dancing Barefoot Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

Dancing Barefoot

Rating: 5.0

Let us celebrate the sun
Against the hate and sadness
Dancing barefoot in the park
As we rejoice God's mysterious love
Creating a Heaven on this Earth
And not tolerate the tyranny
For if we do,
Peace will not come
And the sun will arrive in vain

Freedom from shoes! I used to go barefoot all the time as a kid, but can't stand to do it anymore, unless I'm on grass or sand. Nice poem.

Let our own living skins be the drum-skins to pound out a rhythm for this barefoot dance.

there is a forgotten wonder forgotten by concrete jungle city dweller, dancing bare foot naked by a wilderness river, in warm summer rain washed clean by summer rain

I wrote the poem 'Bare Foot Dancing In Summer Rain', inspired by the poem 'Dancing Barefoot', by the poet LeeAnn Azzopardi and dedicated to LeeAnn Azzopardi.
