The Wind Dancer Poem by LeeAnn Azzopardi

The Wind Dancer

Rating: 5.0

She dances like the infinite wind
Not knowing where she's goin'
Never knowing where she has been
She can't stop to rest
As she has no reason
But if she did
She couldn't stay long
As she'll never get back
For she wants the past
But all she has is the present
Dancing between them
The line becomes blurred
And she's waltzing on it
Recklessly

The uncertainty and lost feeling is so well conveyed, we feel it deeply and it hurts.

Excellently done, with griping lines that remain and pave the sad, uncertain way. A great write.

Well-crafted! Dilemma of a person is illustrated beautifully. Amazing metaphorical piece!

Like a high wire act, you can take a step backwards, but it doesn't bring you closer to your destination. Please keep moving forward with your magnificent poetry, LeeAnn!
