Sharing your children
A major loss to a parent
For one
Whose children
Are all that they live for
They breathe for nothing more
For You have raised them into
A beautiful soul
A soul you want to grow
With selflessness
When you cannot provide them
With the cookies and cream
The other partner gives
Brings a little sadness
You want them to see both sides
Yet sometimes they only see one
Dollars always beat natural beauty
Excitement beats simplicity
For a child
Power takes over
In far to many forms
How does one explain
The loss they truly feel
When only you see both sides
Life does give too many blows
To those same people
Over and over again
The ones with the power
Are so blind
For they shall never see
Both Sides

I have experienced the same, but even tho the kids may not see both sides now, they do appreciate the time and love as much as the material and will appreciate it even more as they become adults. Peace, Lyn.

An in intense write with emotions and sentiments. We are after so many material gains but our mind ultimately needs love and caring what we forget at last within the crowd of foppishness and cheap gains. Very well addressed.
The children of separated parents usually see only one side! Children will stay with the more powerful with more money! But what is needed more is love and care and they should be allowed to have the love of both father and mother! I can very well read your concern and anxiety Lyn!
From what I see love wins in the end the rest is just fluff. I am sure in the end truth and love will be there.
Of course your suggestion in poem is true and acceptable. The power that comes with money destroys and ruins so much. A beautiful poem having bright speculation. Thanks. ....10
