Your experiances shape you,
You are what they were,
As you get older,
The more you learn,
Theres one thing that changes,
All your perceptions,
Depression,
You don't see it coming,
It often strikes hard,
You feel like caving in,
Letting go of yourself,
It's like a tidal wave coming,
You can't get away,
It's not something you can do alone,
All it takes is the courage to ask,
For the help you require,
Do what you can, take time for yourself,
Push past the bad times,
Because at the other end is sunrise,
When you get there,
And don't feel as bad,
It's like being so free,
Flying like a bird,
It may well leave scars,
Or change who you are,
But throughout remember this,
Better times aren't that far.

This is a very poignant piece Luke. It pictures a lot of the sheer experience of depression, and therefore makes good contribution to those in need of a way through, especially by the positive last line. It has my ten.
