Ace Of Hearts
Go on and cut me to the quick-
Please just get it over with.
I'm standing here with arms outstretched,
Heart on my sleeve, yes I'm a wreck.
I know this really isn't me at all,
But I'm mid-way down a bright freefall.
So take my heart and break it, too
If that is what you're meant to do..
And leave me later to my solitude,
But not before this night's pursued.
