Terminal after terminal plane after plane
My location changes but it somehow feels the same
Same boring food same uncomfortable seat
I hear the same overhead pages even in my sleep
...

Money cannot buy happiness; I know this to be true.
If it did the smiles of poor would be forced and few.

I've traveled around the world to countries with names hard to pronounce.
...

The hotel bed was comfortable, but it's not the same as home.
I'm in an airport surrounded by thousands of people, but still feel alone.

Relationships are out of the question. Friendships are hard to maintain.
...

You taught me how to fight with my fist
You taught me how to love with my heart
You taught me right and wrong and how to tell them apart
...

Sometimes you see it coming.
It still doesn't make it easier to bear.
You open up to express your feelings to let her know your care.

Frequent Flyer Blues

Terminal after terminal plane after plane
My location changes but it somehow feels the same
Same boring food same uncomfortable seat
I hear the same overhead pages even in my sleep

North or south it doesn’t matter where I go
I swear I saw the same shoeshine guy in ATL and SFO

I fear I may be losing it but what can I do
The frequent flyer blues give you deju vu
