What's this world coming to?
What have we done?

Poverty...
War...
...

i see the stars so bright, so shiney
just see how they sparkle like diamonds

i see the stars so high, so amazing
just see how we reach high for them
...

she sits there,
her mother with the bottle in the hand
the father with the drugs
Do they realize she is there or are they absent of her presence.
...

i feel that i don't belong in my community
i feel isolated and judged
i feel like they think i don't exist

just because i am committed to someone of another race
...

He was everything to me

My brother
My dad
My grandfather
...

i can feel it,
so close,
yet so far

i can imagin it,
...

Do you see what i see?
Do you see the way they stare at us?
Do you see the way they point? even
Do you see the way they talk like they think you aint listenin'?
...

he said he loved me,
that i was his baby girl.
he said we would be together,
for better or worst.
...

i have no more smiles
all the laughter has been taken out of me
i dont dance and sing like i used to
...

If i was given the chance to change the world,
i would change Laws,
i would give people equal opportunities to life,
i would stop poverty
