On your “business trip” to Peru

staring haughtily at all the strays
she wouldn’t even eat

Cat
When she shows interest in you
Purring
Willing her to draw closer

Those with whom I’d rather not queue
Behind me caused stress undue
They did yak and hack
And bad jokes crack

i really think your cat
has had enough
...

There she stands
Alone in the rain
Should I go up
And ease her pain?

Sitting alone
By herself
Upon the stone

Last night of hell
