Ronny Self Poems

Hello Day, I see you’ve come again
You’ve proven yourself such a worthless friend
Now I wonder why you keep coming around,
Though you speak, you never seem to make a sound
...

The days do not last long of a man,
So now let us go,
Both you and I, hand in hand,
Journey away to a distant land
...

Where are you?
I’ve been waiting for such a long time
But you still aren’t here.
I cannot wait forever, you know?
...

Moving soul I want to see;
There are just so many things I want to say;
Moving soul as you come close to me;
Perhaps I’ll tell them to you another day.
...

I was affronted by the darkest night
As it drowned out the heat of day
And became confused as I lost my sight
And stumbled around in unholy fright
...

Sunlight,
Crawling over the horizon,
Painted fingers grasping trees,
Pull yourself over, breathe
...

What dark days this side of life,
Of crooked friends and budding sorrow
Oh, the hopes of just making it ‘til tomorrow
Could not hide the heart from the scythe
...

The aging trees will creak and groan
To find themselves ringed by frost in sleep
And snow by the wind already blown
Cast upon snow already deep.
...

When was it that winter gales
Blew down trees around our home?
And where was I—A roam
Among the budding Spring vales,
...

I wish I could stretch unto the stars,
And know beyond knowing the touch of flight
Like the soaring meteor bursting through night.
But being human it is only my place to mar
...

Incline of that which is immortal,
Deeper still than blood and bone
And more human than mortal.
But more alone.
...

When I am dead and gone—
Far beyond the hills we walked as youth,
And these old bones have had their taste of truth
And young of spirit, of song;
...

Two worlds in which I know;
One buried beneath the snow.
Though there through yonder portal
Lies the secret to being mortal.
...

15.

I have walked all imaginable ways,
Through oceans, over hills, into deep caverns;
Where the lantern of the watchman holds no sway
And into the drunk man’s taverns.
...

I remember
The grass flowing in the breeze
Moments of joy, unbounded
By the constraints of want and greed.
...

I grow tired of the ceaseless night
That has surrounded my body and mind
And so I wake myself up as I find
That all is better in the morning light.
...

When my sins have caught up with me
And I can no longer run quite free
I doubt that in heaven I will stay
When I have all of hell to see.
...

When the gods look down on me
I wonder what it is that they see,
Is it my strong and peaceful mind
Or my weak chaotic heart that they find?
...

I saw an apple fall today
From its tree not far away,
The great limbs let out a cry
As they watched their son fly.

The Best Poem Of Ronny Self

Hello Day, We Meet Again

Hello Day, I see you’ve come again
You’ve proven yourself such a worthless friend
Now I wonder why you keep coming around,
Though you speak, you never seem to make a sound

Hello Sun, I see you’ve come back
Maybe this time you’ll make up for what you lack
Now I wonder why you keep rising so joyfully to the sky
As you watch your friends on the ground flounder and die

Hello Night, I see you’ve come again
Though I can’t truthfully say you’re a godsend
Every breath you take is a waste of air
You speak so much, but never voice care

Hello moon, I see you’ve come back
Maybe this time you won’t stray from your track
Every move you make stands in my way
You move so much, equally I pay

Hello Friend, I see what you lack
When I asked for your help, you turned your back
Every good word you filled with a lie
You watch when I live, but close your eyes as I die.
