For half a century
He was head over heels and as loyal as a dog
Now he's an aficionado to addiction
A zealot to feelings

This country is a state
Well Gorton is anyway
The city council say; It'll be ok
when we regenerate

We all get the blues
Even babies get the blues!
But not them nor you
Ever get or have got the blues
...

A claim concieved in falsehood
And continued in deceit
Did you understand that the asseration
Would be the end of you and me?

The leaves lie in the lay-by
Up until they carve cryptic clues in the wind
The foliage that is blown
Is either free or controlled by the prison of wind

They gave me a headset
So my hands could be free
To type, push buttons
and process

Blue Me, Blue Fly, Blue Spider

I once met a fly and I want you to know
That I tried to say bye but i couldn't let it go
I was just sat on my bed, singinf the blues
When this dot flew past humming the tume
It stopped on the wall and my jaw hit the floor
I couldn't believe it so got up to make sure
I stoppd their and gawped and stared for a while
He took off his hat and with a wink and a smile
He said 'good day, are you ok?
My you're as white as a ghost are you gonna faint? '
'I just may' came my short reply
'Let me get this straight - you're a blues singing fly? '
I sat back down my whole room spinning
His hat in his legs he kept on grinning
He closed his eyes and then began singin
A bittersweet song that really got me thinking
Then he let out a scream 'What's that besides ya! '
'Oh don't be alarmed that's a song writer spider'
Now the fly was as white as a sheet
'I'm a vegitarian - i don't eat meet
I'm not after you so don't bother yourself'
'Just to be sure - i'll stay on the shelf'
After a whil the spider wrote a song
Me and the fly well we sang along
We sang and we sang until the blues went away
but i never saw that fly or spider again
The fly it got stuck in a black widows trqap
The spider it drowned after getting stuck in a bath
