Meeting those expectations
Is harder than you'd think

There is fire within me
A fire that burns
But yet nevers consumes
A fire left undisturbed

Things get damaged, things get broken
Hearts get lost amidst words not yet spoken
Emotions dance and swirl next to illusions
Illusions which turn into irrational conclusions
...

Insatiable fire which upon me is thrust
The need to fulfill a void which has never been satisfied
Yet somehow knows how it feels to be full
...

A thin line separates love and hate
A line so thin both emotions tend to merge
Anger takes the hand of desire
While desire bows to frustration
