A welcoming kiss

Years of being together
Will be ending tomorrow
It will be an occasion
That will be shrouded in sorrow

She'll never see the sun set
She'll never see the sun rise
She'll never see the moon and stars
As they reflected in her eyes

I know how much I loved you
The day you went away
It hurts deep inside
I don't know what to say

Watching her sitting there
As she slowly drinks her tea
Wondering to myself
What is she doing here with me?
