One plus one
Is equal to two.
Two minus one
Is equal to zero!

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
The poem may be arithmetically enigmatic, but it is a true reflection of some thoughts that occupied my mind while I was attending the funeral services of a friend's wife.
When two souls unite and join their hands, they have immense potentialities of love and creativity. If and when either of them walks away, or is demised, both of them become losers and individually their creativity is brought to a nought!

Very good, neat work, Khairul. The mathematics of LOVE. Mmost people prefer additions to subtractions!

An exceptional summation and subtraction applies only in the domain of love.... very nice

Excellent thought. Unbelievable but true logic. The reality does not follow the mathematics. I also think about zero in different way. However, short and meaningful poem. Thank you.
