Your Voice Poem by Ashley Fortin

Your Voice

Your voice is like nails scratching a blackboard,
Your voice is like a puppy being run over on the highway,
Your voice is like the sound of a needle sliding into skin,
Your voice is like a childs knees scraping against concrete,
Your voice is like a knife scraping against a plate,
Your voice is like the turbine of a plane sucking in a bird,
Your voice is like a collar-bone snapping under a brick,
Your voice is a good dream of mine.
