Your Tears Are Bitter.
I feel the weight of
Your sorrow.
it hangs heavy around
My neck.
this millstone is the
love that links
Us Both.
I feel the hardening of
Your heart.
it turns black from the core
gathering grit that
coagulates on the outside.
this is the same heart
You promised would
beat in synchrony with
Mine.
the pain that flows out from
Your eyes,
that too, is
Mine to bear.
I eat them.
Your tears are bitter.
