Your Must To Do Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Your Must To Do

Your must to do today to leave incomplete.
May prove to you when tomorrow arrives,
Just a whim disguised to forget like the others.
To insist in having an interest.
Until someone else,
Has made a choice to select.
To hint with it suggested,
Your must do to have yet done...
Is as obvious less a priority to give it time.
Or invest interest with this found to find.
As much as your must do is quicker undone.
The moment you discover,
Being in another's business...
Has for you a need to be done.
With a must that gives you more of a rush.
Than what it was to forget.
That had you so concerned,
About not having time to find to do.
And this to confess to another,
Who attempts to give you clues...
Listening to excuses made from you,
Has of yet been an interest of theirs.

"What are you saying? "

-Leave me alone.-

"I mean...
For real.
And try not to be so subtle about it."
